EKU Elektronik attended 4. medtech RHEINLAND-PFALZ

This year's medtech RHEINLAND-PFALZ took place on 20 July 2016 with the theme "DIGITALISATION OF MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY – Chances and challenges of digitalisation - Perspectives for application of intelligent medical technology" and was held at the Academy of Sciences and Literature (German: Akademie der Wissenschaften und der Literatur) in Mainz, Germany, with interesting lectures, talks and workshops for the industry meeting.

Dr. Volker Wissing, the new Minister for Economic Affairs, Transportation, Agriculture and Viniculture of the German State Rheinland-Pfalz inaugurated the event and confirmed the road to success of medical technology in Rhineland-Palatinate with a high export volume of medical devices, pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical materials. The Minister visited the exhibition area "Medicine - Technology and Research from Rhineland-Palatinate" and at the EKU stand he was informed about the contribution to digitalisation of medical technology from the Rhine-Hunsrück county.

For this the ventilator tester CΛLIBSO ViPlus was introduced with all device-specific test setups and documentations which are integrated and which can be transmitted to available systems. The displayed NO-application device NO-A for inhaled nitric oxide therapy was explained with the possibility of data transfer to patient data management systems (PDMS) contributing to improved documentation in clinics and hospitals.

The medtech Rheinland-Pfalz is an event by the Ministry for Economic Affairs Rhineland-Palatinate in cooperation with the German Society for Biomedical Technology in VDE.
